Commission: Customer designed pendant

The remit:

The concept for this piece was 100% the brainchild of my lovely customer Katie. She is very creative and talented and set me quite a challenge! (by the way, you can check her work out on Instagram: @yarncastlecrafts)

Commission: 40th birthday heart shaped friendship pendant

The remit:

My customer asked for something unique and special for a 40th birthday present. She wanted a symbol representing friendship to be integrated into the design.

Commission: Galaxy inspired pendant

The remit:

I was asked to create something “galaxy inspired” with a dark background and turquise and pink and purples and some sparkle – this photo was my reference photo:

I created this special pendant using a glass called Aventurine blue which is dark blue glass with a wonderful subtle shimmer as the background, adding turquoise, pink and purple powdered glass layered on top.

I also included a little bit of glow in the dark pigment in the piece to make it extra special and give some of the turquoise areas a subtle glow in the dark surprise.

I was so chuffed that Lucy loved it as she’s a very talented artist (check her out on Instagram: @lucychambersart) – so it meant a lot to me that she was happy with it!

This bespoke project inspired a whole new range of Galaxy inspired pieces!

Commission: Blue & Purple pendant

The remit:

I had made similar pendants in different colours and Katie asked me to make her one in this style in her favourite colours of blue and purple. It turns out this is one of Katie's favourites and she regularly posts when she's wearing it - and it was one I loved making too! (check out Katie on Instagram: @yarncastlecrafts)
